We’ve put together activity packs so you can put bring some of Quiet Valley to your home! Each activity pack comes with a digital introduction and all the supplies need for an afternoon full of Quiet Valley fun! Historic Toys and Games
Learn about games and activities from the past! This activity pack contains supplies to make an old fashioned thaumatrope, learn to play marbles and jacks, and get instructions to play cornerball with your friends! This activity pack is sure to give you tons of outdoor fun!
Quiet Valley Bread in a Bag
Have you ever visited Quiet Valley on a summer Saturday and gotten to try a piece of our yummy bake oven bread? With this activity pack, get the supplies and instructions to make your very own loaf of Quiet Valley Bread. The best part is the entire thing can be made in a Ziploc bag to young hands can have fun mixing all the ingredients together!
Victorian Fairy Houses
Fairy gardens first debuted in the United States in 1893, the same year portrayed in our School House and New Kitchen! These gardens started out as dish gardens influenced by the Chicago World’s Fair. Today, many fairy gardens used found natural materials to create welcoming environments for visiting fairies. This activity pack gives you some background on fairy gardens, as well as the supplies to create and paint your very own fairy house!
Natural Weaving
How can you weave with the things you find around your yard? This activity pack teaches about weaving and its role on the farm. Read Peter’s Prickly Pants (included) and create a natural woven art piece with the included supplies and materials found outside.
